Taylor Swift visited Poland for the first-time in August, performing for three consecutive days starting from August 1 at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw. The world-beating singer brought not only excitement to the Swifties but also smile to the local entrepreneurs.

Swiftonomy, it is, and it is not just in the United States. Those who cannot afford or miss the tickets in the U.S. are said to throng to the European tour. It was indicated that Americans could buy up to 1/5 of the tickets for Swift's concerts in Europe. Tourists who come to Taylor Swift's August concerts in Warsaw may leave around PLN 190 million (45 million euros) in the capital, Warsaw Chamber of Commerce estimated.

Although the hospitality industry will benefit the most, it is not only hoteliers and the catering industry who will benefit from this. Anything related to Taylor Swift can be expected on the street, from souvenirs and dresses to Taylor-style gastronomy, such as drinks, kebabs, cakes and biscuits. There are even exhibitions and galleries said to feature the super star.

Ninety percent of hotel rooms in Warsaw have been booked, and the prices "soared crazily," a Czech businessman who preferred not to be named told Taiwan Trade Center, Warsaw. "I was planning to stay in Warsaw for the weekend after a business trip, but apparently, I cannot," he joked.

If one starts to look for a place to crash in Warsaw during the concert period, they will need to pay at least PLN 2,000 for a room at the five-star InterContinental Warsaw, which is at least triple the rate on other normal days.

Considering the skyrocketing demand and room rates, some Varsovians even plan to list their spare rooms on booking.com or Airbnb to make some extra income.
