Analysts of the digital ecosystem conducted a study and recorded peak interest in this category of goods in May: sales increased by 2.5 times in units compared to the same month in 2022. According to experts, the growing popularity of this category of goods can be explained by the desire of Russians to secure property during the summer holidays.

Along with the growth in demand for video surveillance devices, the average price for them has decreased - the cost has decreased by 15% and, by the end of May, is 2918 rubles. At the same time, more and more new developments for security are appearing on the market.

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi remains the most popular brand among Russians - it accounts for about 80% of sales of all CCTV cameras. The second and third places are taken by TP-Link and SLS, respectively.

In addition, recently, Russians have become much more likely to purchase motion sensors - when they detect any activity, they send a signal to the owner in the smartphone. In May, sales of these products increased by 65% compared to last year.

By the way, back in September 2022, experts reported a significant increase in demand for products related to personal security and video surveillance. Then the demand for video cameras for transport increased by 300%, and interest in paid alarm systems increased by 138%. Residents of the country have become 92% more likely to look for miniature IP cameras and 60% more often for IP intercom monitors. Also in the favorites of consumers of video surveillance systems for transport, video eyes and GSM-alarm systems.
