IKEA, the world's largest retailer of furniture and home decorations, announces the long-awaited opening of the IKEA Timișoara store on June 8, 2023. It will be the most sustainable IKEA store in Southeast Europe (IKEA SEE) both through construction standards, and business operations.
IKEA Timisoara will be the company's third store in Romania and the first in the western part of the country. The opening of the new store is an important milestone for both IKEA Romania and IKEA SEE, and an essential step for the brand's services and product range to be more accessible to the residents of Timișoara and neighboring counties.
"We are very happy to announce that the IKEA Timisoara store is ready to welcome the first customers on June 8," said Nicoletta Muscinelli, Market Manager, IKEA Timisoara. "It is a particularly important moment for us. The new store brings an investment of more than 60 million euros to the local market and reflects our desire to offer the residents of the western part of the country a high-quality store and a complete IKEA experience. We aim to give our customers the opportunity to lead a better, more pleasant, and more sustainable life at home, in a way that is as affordable as possible," she continues.
The store has an area of 26,000 square meters and will offer a wide range of 8,300 home furnishing products with great design, functionality and quality at affordable prices. With the help of design experts from IKEA, future customers of the IKEA Timișoara store will be able to fully enjoy their homes.
