JYSK opens 6 new stores in Bulgaria

The Danish domestic goods seller ЈYSК has announced its plans to expand with new stores in Bulgaria until the end of the next financial year. After the expansion of the line at the beginning of May, the company announced the opening of at least 6 new sites in Bulgaria by the end of the next financial year and the refurbishment of another 5 already existing ones. This is part of the gradual renewal of all the facilities of the brand in Bulgaria, which began before 2018.

At the moment, the focus during the summer is on the renovation of 4 of the older stores and their inclusion in the newest concept of JUSK Store 3.0. The first opening of a similar object in Bulgaria will be on June 1, when JUSK Bulgaria will reopen the store in Pazardjik - completely immersed in the new concept. Where will the company's other new facilities be is not disclosed yet. The most advanced phase is the facility in the city of Karlovo.

The results of the Bulgarian market continue to be among the best for the world at the global level. The three most searched categories for 2023 at the moment are home furniture, garden furniture, and mattresses.

The moment, since its entry into the Bulgarian market in 2005, the Scandinavian network has 51 units, including the company's online store, with a total of over 700 employees. For the financial 2021-2022, which for the company starts from September 1, 2021, and ends on August 31, 2022, JYSK Bulgaria reported the best yearly results so far - the turnover is close to 505 million BGN and the profit is 19 million BGN. This is an increase in profits by 31%, according to the company's data. Online shopping accounts for about 10% of sales, and the company reports that customers still prefer to visit physical stores.

Employees of ЈYЅК from Bulgaria and Romania helped to prepare the opening of the first store in Turkey. The work of ЈYЅК in Turkey will be coordinated by the management team in Romania and Bulgaria.
