Groupe Atlantic, a key player in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry, has announced a significant investment of 60 million euros in establishing its first factory in Romania. Located in Aricestii Rahtivani, Prahova County, this new facility marks a major expansion for the company. The factory is set to begin production in the last quarter of 2024, focusing on manufacturing heating elements such as hot water cylinders and boiler plates.

The initiation of operations at the Romanian site is a strategic move to develop, manufacture, and deliver eco-efficient domestic hot water cylinders. Tomasz Juda, the director of the production unit in Romania and of the Ukratlantic LLC factory in Odessa, Ukraine, under Groupe Atlantic's ownership, oversees the new facility. He has been managing the Odessa factory since December 2020 and brings valuable regional experience to his role in Romania.

The Romanian factory spans a total area of 145,000 square meters, with buildings occupying 31,000 square meters. The facility is gearing up for production, with the first set of employees already active on-site. They are laying the groundwork for the installation of machinery, scheduled to arrive by mid-2024, to ensure that production commences by the year's end.

By 2026, Groupe Atlantic aims to expand the team at the Romanian factory to 370 employees, underscoring the company's commitment to growth and development in the region. The establishment of this new unit not only represents a significant investment in the local economy but also reinforces Groupe Atlantic's presence in the European market.
